I have a house with many flowers on the balconies. Most flowers are in balcony boxes, irrigated with my own invented automatic system.
But the other flowers need to be watered by hand.
And, since my automatic system is using a 4-zone wireless water timer from LinkTap (the best system on the market!!!), I used this to turn the water on for my balcony.
But when we are away on vacation, my (old) parents are in charge of the watering. And having them trained on the Link-Tap app would be a nightmare, since they would only use it a couple of times a year…
So, being the product manager for the awesome Blippa system, I decided to solve this by attaching a QR code to the water hose on the balcony.
Just scan the QR code and press the watering button!
No login, no training. No support calls from my confused, technically challenged parents!
Since I have zero programming skills, I created a Blippa object with an empty Form.
In the form, I used the new Action-Call Rest.
And it worked!!!
No AI coding, just my awesome skills ![]()
I even made the duration a variable so I could add this to another Settings form ![]()
