There is now a new setting in a templates activation: Send E-mail on object create.
This sends an email when an object is created, regardless of the creation was made manually or by syncing a data source.
The intended use is to notify boat owners of that their boat now has a shiny new webpage.
(In Sweden the Blippa QR system is used by boat clubs to present owner and boat details for the harbour staff. The members are imported (synced) though Excel files.)
